Padded folding Upright bars 

This product is great, it  is the only folding space saving upright bar of its type available. It has been tested extensively over many miles in all weather conditions.

We have designed and manufactured this kayak rack bar specifically to fold down when not in use and to take up the minimum of space, which means that you can leave the bars on the roof of your vehicle at all times (just think what the benefits are- get into the garage/multi story car park, it looks better and there is less wind resistance & noise & when folded down.

If you need to carry one or more kayaks, canoes or surfboards on the roof rack of your vehicle you will find this type of space saving upright bar most useful. It allows you carry more by mounting the craft either on their bottom or sides. Surfers just imagine how many boards you could carry, you can fit our bars next to a "top box" simply fold down the bars and your top box will open!

The bars are powder coated and have tough black foam rubber padding fitted to protect your equipment. They now have a larger ring on the top for easy fixing of larger/more straps.

Our upright bars fit onto aero bars (with "T" slot) or standard square/rectangular bars..

Supplied with "T bolts" for aero bars & nuts & bolts for square/rectangular bars (max width/height 50mm) so you can use it on both types !

 In the up position they are 45cm high, when folded only 8.5cm high!
